Biography
Wessel a typical dutch boy with love for digital music. He was influenced by early disco and 60’s 70’s pop music. After a few years in his home studio from the age of 18, playing live at local clubs (1998-2002), he went to the Dutch Film and Television Academy. He graduated the devision Sound-design. Wessel played in a band where he was the digital element (beats, sferes and fx). That was the point he met Sae.
Sae (Keyboard) is from Tokyo, Japan. Influenced by classical music as she studied as hobby, and played as a DJ (70s’ Jazz Funk, 80s’ dance classics, 90s’ R&B ect.) at clubs & bars in Tokyo in 1996-1997. She moved to Amsterdam and has been living there. Played at a student discotheque for some period. After 10 years, she started to play music in a band on base guitar, also on keyboard in another band, there she met Wexxel.
Now the two teamed up and make electronic music with emotion and dance-able beats. This resulted in the debut album: ‘We are all spaced out’.
Wexxel & Sae says: “The music we want to make reaches out to emotion comes from the hart and is electronic. We love to play our tracks live for an audience, where we work with live keys and remix arrangements. A live set can be chill or very uplifting. It depends on the crowd. In the future we will focus on playing in clubs, festivals and bring out hq music. We just started and this is only a beginning for us.”
